Retro Fashion Revival

With the start of Autumn fast approaching (I know, where HAS this year gone?) I figured it was about time we had a look at the upcoming trends that can be expected in A/W14.  Autumn is by far my favourite time of the year as it's perfect for snuggling up in comfy knitwear and enjoying the outdoors with all of the seasonal colour changes that can be seen all around.  The great news this season is that knitwear is definitely in.
Now would be the perfect time to invest in a forties jumper or cardigan to instantly update your look.  Some more good news if you're a fan of forties fashion is that fur made an appearance of the catwalks for the new season.  You could go full out with a fur overcoat or stick to accessorising with a vintage fox or rabbit fur.

One obvious key trend spotted on the catwalks was the sixties influence.  Mini skirts, long boots and retro inspired geometric prints all made an appearance.  Team this with the abundance of brown and mustard tones that are appearing more and more as the Autumn months are approaching and you have a wonderfully chic yet simple to pull off look.

If however, you are not a fan of the dull weather and colder months do not fear! An easy way to inject a bit of fun into your wardrobe this season is with A/Ws must have colour - blue! Whether it's classic navy or more daring cobalt, blue is right on trend for the season and will instantly add interest to any outfit!

Which trend will you be rocking this season? Send me some snaps of your new season looks and I might even feature a few! Thanks for reading,
